Accessibility by people with visual impairments and other disabilities is built into Digital Fife.
Features such as screenreader compatibility, user control of font size and contrast, the facility to read aloud pages and automatic translation ensure Digital Fife websites can be used by all.
Digital Fife websites consistently score highly on internationally recognised accessibility tests.
Bookbug is a Scottish Book Trust initiative, where every child in Scotland is gifted four book bags - at birth, toddler, nursery & Primary 1.
Bookbug sessions are run in the community to complement the gifting programme, providing opportunities for parents to sing, read & play with their children in small groups.
All Home-Starts in Fife have staff trained as Bookbug session leaders and run Bookbug sessions, either as part of the programme in other groups or as stand alone classes.
Many of our home-visiting volunteers are trained in 'Bookbug For The Home' - where elements of the Bookbug programme are used one-to-one at home with families.
Contact your local Home-Start to find out when there's a Bookbug session on for your child.
